The Mudlarks

The Mudlarks as they are affectionately known in the club originally formed to cater for club members who are retired or have the opportunity to run during the day to miss those dreary winter evenings.

They meet in the Forest at Wilverley Plain Car Park on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 09:30 . If any member is free to run at that time they are all very welcome to join them.

They split into running and walking groups of various abilities, from fast 10 mile runs to gentle walks. Each group will be led by a guide who knows the forest, and several members are qualified coaches available for training advice.

After all their efforts they all gather for a chat and coffee – very important.

The Mudlarks often go “en masse” to many Off-Road events such as the: Meoan Valley Plod, The Stonehenge Stomp, 54321 etc. Occasionally they can also be seen competing abroad – Cyprus , Malta , Spain etc.
